Is your site secure?

How long does it take to register a domain name through TLDDirect.com?

The registration process is seamless and takes a few minutes.  Based on the domain you want to register and its prefix, your choice will be instantly blocked as soon as your payment is accepted.  DNS settings and ownership details can then take anywhere between a few minutes to 48 hours (dependant on the NIC that manages the prefix chosen, propagation of DNS settings, etc.)

Can I get a refund on a registered domain name if I miss-spelt it, or simply changed my mind?

NO.  Make sure you check its spelling first and that you will need the domain.  Once registered, you are bound to pay its renewal fees (if you wish).  TLDDirect.com will not refund domain registration fees or any agreement binding fees for services rendered, unless otherwise stated.  We urge you to read our Legal Agreements before you proceed.

Why do you only offer limited prefixes while others offer over 40 or so?

We provide prefixes that are historically known and accepted as “excellent domain buys” and / or will make a business presence more acceptable.  Sure we can offer all prefixes, but will they be needed?  TLDDirect.com offers the most requested prefixes and continues to offer additional prefixes as they become accepted by clients worldwide.  You will receive an email as soon as we add new TLDs/ccTLDs to our inventory.

What if my current registrar blocks my domain transfer request?

This may happen.  Registrars lose money when a client shifts a domain or an entire portfolio.  Some even will charge you for this.  However, it is your right and they have to oblige when you request this.  In most cases, the transfer is swift and hassle free.  If you find yourself locked in an ever-ending transfer issue, direct your concern to ICANN who will investigate this diligently.  Similarly, ensure that you have paid any outstanding fees owed to your current registrar for any additional services.  Finally, make sure you end up reading any Transfer or Registration agreements.  Your registrar will be in the right if it stipulates penalties in its agreements.
